Alberta Institute of Agrologists
Agrology is a growing profession that is at the forefront of many critical issues such as food production, food safety, bioresource health and environmental quality. Members of the AIA work diligently to address these issues in an objective, competent and ethical manner. The dynamic nature of the agrology profession requires that memebers commit to life-long learning through continued professional development. The AIA regulates the profession and strives to assure the public of continued professional competence.
American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers
The ASFMRA is a professional organization for property economic professionals who provide management, consultation, and valuation services, as well as real estate services on rural and agricultural assets. The land experts which hold membership in the ASFMRA work under a professional code of ethics, which includes continuing education requirements. Founded in 1929, it provides members with the resources, information, and leadership that enable them to provide valuable services to the agricultural community.
Canadian Association of Farm Advisors (CAFA)
The Canadian Association of Farm Advisors is a non-profit, self-regulating organization that provides high-quality continuous learning and networking opportunities for farm advisors to help them provide better advice to help farm clients succeed. Its mission is to continually improve the quality of advice being given to farm producers and their families, including agribusiness. Its objectives are to improve the level of education of farm advisors, the level of professionalism of farm advisors and the access to qualified farm advice.
Real Estate Council of Alberta
The Real Estate Council of Alberta is the independent governing authority that sets, regulates and enforces standards for real estate brokerage, mortgage brokerage, property management and real estate appraisal professionals in Alberta.
Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission
The Saskatchewan Real Estate Commission is an independent, non-governmental agency, responsible for the regulation of the real estate industry. The Commission is mandated to protect consumers and to provide services that enhance and improve the industry and the business of industry members.
Appraisal Institute of Canada
AIC is a a leading real property valuation association with over 5,000 members across Canada and around the world. The AIC works collaboratively with its 10 provincial affiliated associations to grant the distinguished Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI) and Canadian Residential Appraiser (CRA) Designations. The AIC is a self-regulating organization that is guided by a Code of Conduct and Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.
National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts
NACVA's mission is to provide resources to members and enhance their status, credentials and esteem in the field of performing valuations, financial forensics and other related advisory services. NACVA establishes standards for membership in the Association, provides professional education and research, fosters practice development, advances ethical and professional practices, enhances public awareness of the Association and its members, and promotes working relationships with other professional organizations.
CMC - Canada
Certified Management Consultant (CMC) - Canada fosters excellence and integrity in the management consulting profession as a whole. CMC-Canada administers the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation in Canada, as well as the specialist Certified Agrologist Consultant (CAC) designation designed for advisors to the agri-food industry. They serve to support Canadian Agri-food businesses, meeting the current and evolving needs of businesses and organizations directly and indirectly involved in the chain.
